On February 27th, ICReDD Specially Appointed Associate Professor Taihei Oki received the “2025 Funai Information Technology Award for Young Researchers” from the Funai Foundation for Informationn Thechnology for his research works “Theory and Applications of Combinatorial Optimization Based on Discrete Convexity”.
The Funai Foundation for Information Technology aims to contribute to the advancement of research in science and technology in Japan by recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions to research in information science and information technology.
Recipients are evaluated not only on the academic novelty of their research and achievements, but also on factors such as the potential for industrial application.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Tokyo on May 23.
