研究概要
環境に優しい触媒や製造プロセスを用いて、再生可能な資源から次世代の持続可能な高分子材料を開発することを目指しています。 触媒開発については、実用的な観点と好奇心な観点とからアプローチしています。 たとえば、シンプルで安全なカルボキシレート触媒は、有機溶媒を使用しない産業関連の生分解性高分子の製造に利用できます。 一方、酵素を模倣した触媒やエナンチオ選択性のある有機触媒も研究しており、高分子合成におけるモノマー配列とタクティシティーの制御などの科学的課題に挑戦しています。
