ICReDD reaches next stage with completion of new research building!

Construction of the new ICReDD Building (North Campus Area Research Building No. 8), located on the east side of the Creative Research Institution (CRIS) Building, has been completed.

Starting with the relocation of the administrative office in early March 2023, each laboratory is now in the process of relocating.

One of the main features of the new building is the “Fusion Research Office,” where researchers have their desks in a single atrium space spanning two floors, enabling researchers in the three fields of experimental science, computational (theoretical) science, and information science to collaborate more closely than ever before.

The building also features a large lecture hall, which can accommodate 120 people for international conferences and is also expected to facilitate more active research exchange through seminars and symposia.

The ICReDD building has also acquired the “ZEB Ready” certification, which is given to buildings that achieve an energy savings of 50% or more compared to conventional facilities.
