Research Outline

My research has focused on the development of photoacoustic imaging agents for cancer imaging using cyanine dyes. In one of my research projects, I developed amine-substituted pH-responsive dyes for high contrast cancer detection. This involved the synthesis of cyanine dyes, measurement of their absorption and photoacoustic spectra, and cancer imaging using the dyes with cancer-specific antibodies. Currently, I am trying to identify key properties for highly efficient PA dyes by integrating experimental results with theoretical insights.
