The NSF Center for Molecularly Optimized Networks team, of which ICReDD Professors Jian Ping Gong and Michael Rubinstein are members, received a 2024 Royal Society of Chemistry Horizon Prize. The team consists of researchers from Hokkaido University, Duke University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Northwestern University, and they received the award for their research demonstrating the potential and impact of embedded mechanochemical reactivity on the mechanical limits of cross-linked polymer networks.
This prize celebrates discoveries and innovations that push the boundaries of science, recognizing teams and collaborations of any size or form who are opening up new directions and possibilities in their field, through ground-breaking scientific developments.
