ゲル材料を特殊な反応場とした化学反応の開発と、その化学反応によるゲル材料の更なる機能化、高強度化を進めています。一例として、力学的負荷を加えるごとに強度やサイズが大きくなる、まるで筋肉のような自己成長材料を創製しています。
